Attach logs, fetch/XHR requests, and interaction events from the product tab to your recording using Lens Technical Context for desktop Chrome or Edge.

Download extension preview

Install the preview

  1. Download and unzip the extension.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, or edge://extensions in Edge.
  3. Enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Pin Lens Technical Context to your browser toolbar.

Attach the product tab

  1. Open Lens in a browser tab. Open the extension and choose Use this tab as Lens. Allow access to your Lens site.
  2. Open the product you want to record in another tab. Open the extension, choose Attach this product tab, and allow access to that site.
  3. Return to Lens and start recording. Choose the attached browser tab in the screen picker.
  4. After finishing, open Technical context to review the entries and save them with the recording.

The extension verifies the captured tab matches your attachment. Window and full-screen recordings, other applications, embedded frames, worker logs, and requests made before recording are not covered. The Electron app can attach its own Lens diagnostics, but cannot read another browser through this extension.

Site access is requested only for the two sites you choose. Context collection stops while paused and when recording ends. No request/response bodies, headers, cookies, typed values, or keystrokes are collected. Logs are redacted on a best-effort basis and remain private when you share a video link.
